President

well there has been a lot going on lately. first off i was nominated (pointed too) to become the president of the mesa state cycling team. i know its gonna be a lot of work since were not the most organized/supported club out there. along with that kevin in the vice president.
now i have dress like this every day, being the president and all
though the riding out here has been very limited lately. we have been getting crappier and crappier weather each day. its been snowing here like crazy.(for grand junction) so that means i had to whip off the layer of dust on my trainer and bring it out. i HATE the trainer. its so boring and hot. i can only be on there for about an hour and a half MAX. though yesterday i did some 3x5 on them. almost puking but it was good to go hard. though thats not gonna cut it since Valley of the sun stage race in arizona is coming up on the 15-17. i want the warm weather to come sooner than later.

XGAMES

Well this past weekend myself and a lot of my pod mates and friends went up to Aspen to watch the games on Saturday. it was an awesome time being at the top of the half pipe having them just fly over your heads. it was insane.than on Sunday we all were suppose to go snowboarding at Powderhorn. then every one woosed out because they were to tired from the xgames. so just kevin matt b and stacy went up. and there were suppose to be about 20 of us. but it was still a good time. now its time for class got to go.

Back!!!!

well my winter break is near the end. though i had an awesome 6 weeks off from school. it started off with cyclocross nationals in Kansas. which were awesome. than the rest of the time was relaxing and hanging out with my family and friends. it was a good time. though i cant really say that for my fish. i was in such a rush trying to get packed get my finals done and getting ready 4 nationals i left my fish on my desk at school. this was for the whole six weeks i was gone. he had no food. so hes dead right? WRONG!!! I got here yesterday and hes still kicking. dont ask me how, he just is. though i start school on Tuesday kevin and i headed back up here to gj yesterday because the passes were suppose to get some snow. and i hate driving in that.

though since we got up here a couple days early and had nothing else to do, tom, dan, kevin and i decided to go snowboarding today up at powderhorn. we went to the bowls off to the side. which are suppose to be off limits but they were so much fun. they were just huge boulder fields with feet of snow on top of every thing and un-touched . it was the best skiing i have ever done. it was so much fun just flying on the boulders and landing in feet of powder. though the riding is suppose to start up in full swing tomorrow. kevin and i are going out with MO for as long as we can last. the high tomorrow is only suppose to be 32 so will see how long we can bare it.

cabin

well corey, kevin and i went down to coreys cabin for the weekend. it was a great time. we did lots of snowboarding behind the car. and i skied for a little until i broke the ski boots on a nice jump. i let go of the rope and picked up some speed for the jump. though we never looked at the landing before doing so...... and it was not so nice

but besides that we had a real fun time. it was a good relaxing weekend. we also played a lot of dominoes wich was a good time. than around dinner time both night there was a real big buck that came right up to the front deck. it was a cool sight. well besides that we just sat around and did a lot of relaxing while taking in the amazing views.

Whipout #1

well today i went on the shortest ride of the year so far. we had a late start today getting out on the bike just with every thing going on. we road down 2 chatfield where the roads turned into snow pack and ice. and the whole way there the bike paths were clear. so we desided to move on foward since we were already there. the road was slick but it was kinda fun to ride on. the snowpack roads lets us practice on our handling. we starting getting use to it so we picked up the speed. i was having a fun time with it. until out of no where on the STRAIGHT section my wheels slid out and down i went. though nothing happing to me or the bike we turned around. now im back off the bike for a couple of days. though i really dont want to be, i just need to get out of the house with all these home imporvments going on its hard to do any thing around here. so kevin corey and i are heading up to coreys cabin tomorrow until sunday. it will be nice to just get away and be out of civilization for a while. the cabin has no heat or elerctricity so it should be a good time. will just be hanging out and skiing behind the car. and since i wont have my bike i am going to try and run every day to keep some of the fitness i gained back since new years.

break!

well its been a while. last week i went up to vail to learn how to skate ski. it was a blast. though the first day i was on my butt more than i was off it. keep in mind i have never been on a pair of skis before. it was a good work out 4 the bike and good 2 be off it. though the past week i have been back on the bike. its been freezing. though its nice 2 be back on. im feeling good on it, not the stongest but good.

the water froze
well today was my first day back on the bike, if you wanna call it that. the high today was suppost to be 29 degrees, and we had a ride starting at 9:30 in denver for a century. so kevin and i had to leave our house at 8:00 to make it there. we desided to ride our cross bikes with all the ice still on the roads. so an hour went by the amount of time it should of taken for us to get there. but no we were just a couple miles into our ride before we had to turn back. it was so cold with the tempeture at -1 with the windshield. it sucked. we were frozen. my parents told us we were crazy and we should not go. well they were right. i just really wanted to ride/. though i am never riding again if its this cold. i will take the trainer over that. and every one we were suppost to meet turned back as well. lets just say it was not fun. though at least its suppost to be in the 50's at the end of this week. thats kevin trying to warm up















I still foroze with all those layers on!!
