A weekend to relax!!!

Well this weekend there was a collegiate MTB race in Boulder which I decided not to do as well as a Cross race today. Instead my buddy Josh came up from Denver for the weekend. After class on Friday we headed down to MOAB to do some MTB on the slickrock, as well as camping and 4X4. It was a balst. Though we did hear a Mountain Lion right before we went in the tent for the night and it came back in the middle of the night which was scary.
We only stayed there Friday night and headed back Saturday afternoon so we could catch the Air Show today and the GJ Airport. The Blue Angles were there which were awesome. After this weekend, I have two cross races in Frisco next weekend, than our home HIKE AND BIKE mountain bike race, than 2more cross races, than nationals than the Boulder Cup(Armstong may show) than New Jersey Grand Prix. So I am travling a lot in the next couple weeks

Back at it!!

Well this past weekend we drove up to Laramie Wyoming to do some MTB racing. And Dough down at Ruby Canyon let me use a Specialized stumpjumper full suspension bike which was AWESOME. Thanks again. In the short track I got may butt kicked, but the CX was fun surprisingly. Even though I crashed 4times really hard. I think I was thinking I could do anything on that nice bike. But it rained hard right before the start so the down hill part was very slick, where the majority of my crashes were. But i finshed in 14th whihc was 3rd in D2 and I was only about 6min. behind Brent this time vs 40min last week.
Also I got my Salsa Cross bike all built up. Got the Sram Rival compnents on it, which are Carbon this year. Were also running with the Sram Red cassets this year which are sick. But our first race on them is next week in Frisco because this weekend were going down to Moab to go camping and hang out and do some riding.

Back to Racing

Well this past weekend was the first races of the Fall semester for me. After class on Friday we drove down to Sol Vista Resorts to set up camp. Our team wanted to save some money, so we went camping instead of a hotel room. When we got there, the parking lot where we were camping was wet and muddy. But we had to set up and than the rain came falling down. It was a cold night, maybe got 3hrs of sleep.
Saturday morning warmed up and it was time to race some Cross Country. My free hub started acting up an hour before the start, so I had to use one of the downhillers cross country bike, which was real nice, but I still SUCKED ASS. Though I finished and I was not last, though very very close.
Sunday morning we drove to Breckenridge for some cyclocross racing. The course was very long and a lot of single track. It took close to 10min. to do one lap which is long. Though I had an ok start and than started picking people off.
(in front of Travis Brown for Trek, insane single speeder)
I was sitting in 5th for most of the race. Than I slid out hard on one of the corners loosing two positions and ripping open my knee, where the previous scabs were just healing. Hate when that happens. I ended up 7th on the day, not bad. Though they payed out the top 5. Dang. O well it was a good time and I think im racing MTB this weekend in Whyoming.

Cross season

Well this past weekend we went down to Boulder for our cyclocross training camp. It was a good time and it got me excited for the up coming season. We got our new bikes which are awesome, we just have to put them together now.

The Salsa bikes this year have a very cool paint job on them, none of it is stickers which is awesome. I guess Salsa came up with this paint job just for our team, which is sick. Kevin and I also found out that we will be racing at the Grand Prix this year which is going to be crazy. I cant wait. We also got these really cool white crank brother candy pedals to go with our bikes. Also were gonna be doing some Collegiate Mountain Biking this semester i guess. Were gonna do our first cross country race this weekend at Sol Vista resorts by winter park on Saturday. Then on Sunday morning Kevin, Brent, Adam and I are driving to Breckenridge do do our first Cyclocross race of the year. So we got a lot of first races this weekend which I am looking foward to.

Long Time

Well I have been off the radar for a while. But school is in full swing now, not too bad yet. Cross camp is this weekend...cant wait. Been just riding easy lately getting back into the swing of things again. Also collegiate MTB season starts this weekend at CSU. I have been doing some MTB lately cause i may do a couple races this year. Though I have been going with Brent lately and he has been kicking my ass, but its a good time. Had an awesome MTB ride last night along with a team BBQ and meeting. We actually have a team this year which is awesome, we even got some girls on the team which is gonna help out a tone.
And for the new house, well we have been having some bug problems but nothing we can't take care of. There are hundreds of cokroches. but we took care of it.Once we took care of those guys for a couple nights straight of straight up killing we needed to organize the bikes in the house. We have about 14bikes in this house and 2more on the way. So in our kitchen we made our very own bike rack. Its only collapsed once!!!
well now I have to head off to econ class:( so ill try to update this thing a little bit more since racing is starting up again
