Thanksgiving Week

Well the adventure started on Wednesday morning when we left Grand Junction heading to Denver. The weather sucked in the high country. The roads were bad people were idiots and we were rolling in the mini van. It took us about 5hr to get home but we made it. It was great being home and eating lots of pumpkin pie. Went on a nice freezing ride on Thursday I think it was about 25 out. And than it was off to racing.

Saturdays race went ok, I took 8th and Kevin 9th(he should of sprinted) it was muddy and real bumpy. I took a good spill on the slick muddy hill side and dropped back a little. And after a couple laps the steep s-turn climb started to real hurt. But it was fun. So towards the end I caught Kevin and we were on the finishing stretch. He was just gliding in so I “sprinted” by him I guess

Sunday was good. Got a call up to the front line and had an awesome start. Got that foot in the clip in a heart beat. I was off the front like that. My two team mates Robin and Andrew followed. So we had a 3 man break with Kevin behind that slowing down the guy he was with. Andrew had a mechanical and had to drop back and that’s when Kevin started to bridge up. It was really was a fun course. I had a great time. We ended up sweeping the podium with Robin 1st me 2nd and Kevin 3rd. Not bad at all.

week

well the week is coming to a close and the break is coming closer. cant wait to be off from school for a little and go back to Denver. Today was the first workout on the bike and we had some 8x30sec.with 90sec. recover, sounds easy but i was dying after 3. We also had to throw 4 sprints in there. Though im not racing this weekend i will be riding a lot with some good workouts. Though the room is getting crowded, so im taking my mtb home this break because im not using it. But im bringing my old redline cross bike up as a cruiser, so i guess that really doesn't solve the problem.

And we got an extra 4 people staying in the pod this weekend. should be a good time.

Off to a better start

well the week is starting of good. I haven't had much homework to do yet which is always good just to relax. And i just got my Spanish test back which i finally got an A on compared to my others which i normally receive an F on, so that is always good . Though i have to head off to my 5hr science class here soon which i am not looking froward to at all. But today after class is going to be pretty relaxed. I have no homework due, i have the day off the bike to just sit around. Though i do need to go and get my phone fixed which has been broken since Saturday for some reason, so that may take a while. But the week and weekend ahead is bringing some hard training block to get ready for Nationals in a month. Also, Corey, Jeremy(the Mexican) and Bryce are heading over here for the weekend to hang out and ride so i am really looking forward to that. Maybe we can play some good old line rider like the good old days. Sick

FIRST!!

Well here is my first blog,

I got my first big win last Sunday at the Boulder Cup. And Saturday i took 9th with a 100 person field. Though on Saturday i crashed on th first lap breaking my shifter, my thumb (may be a sprain) and put a good size dent in my top tube. How about that for starting off a race weekend. Than Sunday i was not feeling it at all on the line. I felt like CRAP!!! i got a bad start, i could not clip in and than got hit by some idiot. luckily i started on the front line so i only fell back to about 20th. Coming back to the start for the second lap i sprinted up towards the front were Kevin was to try and give him a draft. I sat on the front and just started to make a gap and kept that gap for the whole race eve with 20 mph winds or so with a 25 second lead. Well thats about it.
