Slacking

Well not too much has been going on since I last updated this after Valley of the Sun. School is coming to and end quickly. That's always nice, though it is my last semester so not bad. Its gone by really quick but I'm looking forward to the summer to come. Planning on moving out to Boise this summer to do my internship and do some racing which should be awesome. As of now the racing on the collegiate scene is just picking up. Only raced two weekends now due to weather.

The first weekend was down in Boulder and Greeley. The races were both crits and we were really looking forward to showing everyone our new strong teams. The first day we dominated by having someone in every break. We also got the lead out train set up with two laps to go and set Rich up for the win.

Next up was the Greeley crit where we shined again. 3 out of the 5 guys in the break were from Mesa ending up 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 8th. Not bad at all for a small school. This past weekend was our home race here at Mesa State. We had a TT up the Monument which was cool. Then a couple hours later we had our twilight crit which was awesome. We all raced well again got the team in the main break and in the first chase. Ended up 2nd,5th,6th,10th.

Yesterday was our 75mile RR with some hard terrain. The break went from the gun containing the major schools including Mesa. I bridged up a couple mile later. Making it two Mesa riders one CSU and one FLC rider. We had it set up perfect. Though half way threw I got a flat ending my race with no wheel support, Patric cramped Kevin flatted and Rich cramped. So all in all we had some bad luck yesterday in the RR.

On a brighter note the weather is finally starting to warm up here in GJ for at least a couple days. At the end of the week were heading down to Golden for some more races. So far so good, looking forward to the rest of the season!

O yeah, Mustache March is coming along nicely!!
